Supporting Students in This Year’s Formula Student Development Project
12. 06. 2025
Formula Student is the most renowned European educational engineering competition, with participation from over 100 universities worldwide each year. The aim of the competition—supported by industry and engineering professionals—is to develop and encourage entrepreneurial and innovative young people to pursue careers in engineering. It serves as a benchmark for real-world engineering experience, combining practical engineering skills with soft skills, including business planning and project management.

Supporting Students in This Year’s Formula Student Development Project
Superior Engineering is a Slovenian team comprising several dozen young, active, and ambitious students from various faculties. With the knowledge gained at university and under the sponsorship of various companies, they have created a Formula-style race car, which they publicly unveiled this week. They will test it on the racetrack and compare their performance with other European universities at the Formula Student competition.
Kolektor has been supporting this enthusiastic young team for many years, assisting in the production of components for the car. As Robert Šinkovec from Kolektor Orodjarna stated, this year they “manufactured mechanical parts for the chassis, wheels, mounts, and steering mechanism. In collaboration with the students and with support from our CAD/CAM team and Sieve, we also produced a 3D-printed metal bracket.”
