Kolektor ATP Receives Gold Award for Innovation

The Regional Chamber of Commerce Postojna and the Primorska Chamber of Commerce Koper held a joint award ceremony in Pivka to honor the best innovations from the Primorsko-Notranjska and Obalno-Kraška regions for the year 2025. Among the recipients of the most prestigious award was Kolektor ATP.

Gold Award for Innovation Goes to Kolektor ATP

Eight proposals were submitted to the competition for the best innovations in the Primorsko-Notranjska region, coming from seven companies and one sole proprietor. The jury awarded four gold, two silver, and two bronze recognitions. Kolektor ATP – represented by Matevž Požar, Gregor Bizjak, and Aleš Turk – received a gold award for their innovation Automatic Thermal Shock Testing of Products with a Robot (Shock – When Plastic Reveals Its True Face).

As the innovators explained in their submission, testing the lifespan of automotive products over hundreds of thousands of kilometers typically involves lengthy procedures. Therefore, they developed a method using a robot to perform quick and simple thermal shock testing. A robotic arm automatically moves the products from an ice-cold bath cooled with dry ice into a near-boiling hot bath. The rapid transfer of heat deep into the products reveals their true characteristics much faster.

Požar, Bizjak, and Turk will go on to compete for recognition at the national level, where the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia will present awards on September 16, 2025, at Brdo pri Kranju.
