Gold awards by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia for Kolektor Mobility development projects
13. 06. 2026
At yesterday's official Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (CCIS) Innovation Awards ceremony for the Northern Primorska region, awards were presented to the region's most breakthrough development projects that contribute significantly to technological progress, sustainable development, and the competitiveness of the Slovenian economy.
Among the most prominent innovations were two development solutions by Kolektor Mobility, further strengthening the company’s position among Europe’s leading developers of electromechanical systems and mobility electrification solutions.
Kolektor Mobility received two gold awards: one for the innovation of a plastomagnet based on 100% recycled NdFeB powder, and another for the development of a dual e-pump for high-pressure and low-pressure operation.
Polymer-bonded magnet based on 100% recycled NdFeB powder
The first innovation represents the development of a new generation of polymer-bonded magnets based on 100% recycled NdFeB powder. The project marks an important breakthrough in the sustainable use of rare earth materials and in reducing Europe’s dependence on imports of critical raw materials from China.
The developed solution enables the production of highly filled magnetic composites with improved mechanical properties, enhanced processability and preserved magnetic characteristics comparable to materials produced from primary raw materials. The innovation supports the development of a circular economy and directly addresses the objectives of the European Critical Raw Materials Act.
Dr Ana Drmota Petrič, Project Manager at Kolektor Mobility, explains that the innovation enables stable serial production of polymer-bonded magnets for use in electric motors, actuators and other electromechanical systems.
“The special value of the innovation is that the polymer-bonded magnet based on 100% recycled NdFeB powder retains properties comparable to polymer-bonded magnets produced from primary powders, which has so far represented one of the key challenges in the field of recycling,” explains Drmota Petrič.
Industrial validation is currently underway in cooperation with the Spanish partner COPRECI, where the materials are being tested in a demonstration synchronous motor. An important part of the project was also carried out within the European development projects Harmony, REEsilience and Permanet.

Dual e-pump for simultaneous high-pressure and low-pressure operation
The second award-winning innovation from Kolektor Mobility features the development of an advanced dual electric oil pump that combines a gerotor pump and a gear pump into a single system powered by one electric motor drive.
The solution enables simultaneous operation at low and high pressures and is primarily designed for electrified systems in the automotive industry and commercial vehicles. The innovation significantly contributes to reducing the size, weight and energy consumption of hydraulic systems while also enabling greater functionality and flexibility.
“The presented innovation represents a breakthrough product solution in the field of e-pumps and provides an important foundation for further development and upgrades with additional functionalities,” says Dr Vladimir Boštjan Bregar, Head of System Development and System Architecture Department, adding that it “simultaneously creates the foundations for the company’s entry into the highly competitive global market of e-pump suppliers for vehicles and other mobile equipment.”
The innovation is a reference product designed with a modular and flexible architecture, enabling efficient use across various applications and supporting the company’s entry into the e-pump market. The target market primarily includes passenger cars and commercial vehicles.

Through the development of its own drive systems, Kolektor Mobility is gradually evolving from a provider primarily focused on manufacturing technologies for motor components into a producer of brushless electric motors and advanced motor control systems. The company strategically integrates additional functionalities into its drive systems, enabling customers to directly use products as complete functional units within mobility electrification systems, thereby increasing the added value of the offered solutions.
Innovations as the foundation of development competitiveness
The event, which took place yesterday in Nova Gorica, once again confirmed the strong innovation ecosystem of the Northern Primorska region, where companies use internal R&D to create solutions for global industrial challenges.
Among the submitted projects, the expert committee awarded nine silver and six gold awards, while four innovations qualified for the national competition for the best innovations. One of them is the innovation Polymer-bonded magnet based on 100% recycled NdFeB powder.
