NdFeB – injection moulded

Typical of injection moulded plastic bonded NdFeB magnets is good relation between the density of the magnetic flow and the price. They feature good temperature and magnet stability and mechanical properties. Narrow tolerances enable manufacture of precise thin-walled parts of complex geometries in isotropic or anisotropic version.

NdFeB – compression moulded

Typical of compressed moulded NdFeB is highest magnetic density among all plastic bonded magnets under good relation between geometry and price. The matrix of selected binders enables favorable thermal and magnetic stability with otherwise relatively limited geometry and tolerance features.

The key characteristic of the compression moulded NdFeB is relatively low, simple geometry-based specific manufacturing cost.

Ferrites – injection moulded

Typical of injection moulded hard ferrites is their high corrosion resistance. Temperature and mechanical characteristics are limited by mere application of binders. The manufacturing technology enable narrow dimensional tolerances and definition of the required magnetic configuration during the process of injection moulding.

The key characteristic of the injection moulded ferrites is feasible manufacture of complex patterns of the magnetic field.

Hybrids

Typical of hybrid magnetic components is that the simultaneous use of hard ferrites and NdFeB practically enables continuous planning of magnetic characteristics among the basic components. By combining different temperature coefficients of output components we achieve progressive and technically pretentious characteristics. The manufacturing technology enables definition of the required magnetic configuration during the injection moulding process.

The key characteristic of the hybrid magnetic components is the wide range of relations between the magnetic flow and the cost of materials used.

Injection moulding compounds

Various compounds for injection moulding made by means of twin screw compounding enable mono- or hybrid materials: PA6, PA12 and PPS are the common choice for thermoplastics.

The key characteristics of said compounds is their recyclability.

Micro-magnetic composites

Typical of micro-magnetic composites is that the process includes simultaneous injection moulding/compressed moulding of hard- and soft magnetic materials so that the final geometry is achieved in a single production phase.

The key characteristic is the single-grade processing for the monolith product.

Over-moulded magnetic components

The advantage of the overmoulded magnetic components is the multi-grade and the multi-component technologies for manufacture of sub-systems including different material and structural parts.

The key characteristic is the possibility of joining of several components under elimination of the traditional gluing techniques.
